BAUMANN presented its sustainability approach at the 5th Supplier Sustainability Automotive Summit 2026
15.10.2026.
How do we turn sustainability ambitions into practical action across the automotive value chain?
This was at the heart of the 5th Supplier Sustainability Automotive Summit 2026, organised by Schaeffler Group in Bühl, Germany.
Our ESG Coordinator Leticia Bas Ventín represented BAUMANN as a speaker, alongside our Global Account Manager Sven Bahnmüller.
In her presentation, Leticia shared insights into Green BAUMANN, our Scope 1 & 2 decarbonisation programme, including the key principles guiding our approach: science, alignment with international standards, forward-looking thinking and a systemic perspective.
Leticia also presented our progress in assessing BAUMANN’s impacts and dependencies on water and biodiversity, including how tools such as the WWF Risk Filters can help us better understand where these impacts and dependencies occur and support more informed decision-making.
The discussions at the summit highlighted the importance of looking beyond individual companies. Sustainability challenges extend across the value chain – making the exchange of experience, approaches and practical solutions an important part of moving forward.
We are proud that BAUMANN could contribute its perspective to this exchange and grateful to Schaeffler Group for bringing suppliers together.
And, very importantly, special thank you goes to our BAUMANN Group production plants around the world for their continued involvement and contribution to turning our ambitions into action. Sustainability is a collective effort, and the progress we shared would simply not be possible without them.
